Creative Facilitation Program

Customized for Thai Educators to incorporate innovative thinking, active learning, and creative problem solving into their curriculum design and teaching toolkit. The program consists of two portions: 1) The Basics and 2) The Experiment. The course begins by building mindset for innovation, then equip participants with tools to invoke creativity, and an opportunity to apply them to real world problems. Attendees will come out with new skillsets necessary to adapt their curriculums for innovation or apply them to existing research. The program is run in Thai and is currently limited to 40 participants.

Smart Energy Incubator

KX Made, in partnership with New Energy Nexus, is proud to bring you the first Smart Energy Incubator by Energy MADE. Smart Energy Incubator is a 6-month program to provide support to early – stage smart energy technologies. The program ran from February through March 2019 and brought in teams of software engineers, energy experts, product developers and entrepreneurs in to fine-tune their ideas and early prototypes. The program features experts from various fields such as design, engineering, and energy to provide mentorship. Each week, the teams gather for cohort-wide work sessions with talks from energy researchers and professionals in the region as well as one-on-one mentorship for pitching, early-stage recruitment, business development, market research and product design.

Blockchain 101 Learning Events & Meetups

Blockchain Solution Design Bootcamp

A 3-week non-technical bootcamp to onboard social business entrepreneurs to distributed ledger technologies. The program covers the basics of blockchain technology and cryptoeconomics, and provides an investigative design toolkit for participants to conceptualize solutions for how we might leverage emerging technology to achieve “A World of Three Zeroes” as described by Nobel laureate Professor Mohamed Yunus. Over 50 social entrepreneurs from various fields joined the bootcamp and presented their solutions at the Social Business Youth Summit in March 2018.

Ethereum APAC Community Meetup

In the first ever Ethereum community meetup in APAC, over 400 blockchain enthusiasts from around the region came to KX to hear from the leading minds and projects in the space, including Vitalik Buterin, David Knott, Karl Floersch and many more. We heard from business leaders, developers, and researchers about current applications of distributed ledger technology and steps being taken to tackle scalability challenges in blockchain.

Surge BKK Learning Day & Hackathon

SURGE by UNICEF Innovation is an immersive series of events that invites youth to learn new skills, while at the same time exploring where blockchain could play a role in addressing global challenges. We brought SURGE to Bangkok in collaboration with UNICEF Innovation and OmiseGO. The event brought together interdisciplinary teams in Bangkok and challenged them to build solutions to increase financial inclusion. SURGE BKK comprised of a one-day learning event to give an introduction to blockchain coding, and a two-day hackathon with talks from the leading minds in blockchain, and workshops from projects such as OmiseGo, MakerDAO, Status, MESG, Band Protocol and Bounties Network.
